Lanberg DSP3-1005-60W is a small size unmanaged desktop PoE+ switch, equipped with 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, including 4 PoE ports with a real 60 W PoE budget for end devices in this standard. This extremely handy device operates on a plug-and-play basis. The switch provides switching function support for 5 RJ-45 10/100/1000 Mbps ports along with automatic connection negotiation and MDI-MDIX support.
TheDSP3 is characterized by the use of an external power supply that allows the switch to operate in PoE/PoE+ mode and the use of IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at standards. - Intelligent port disconnection function when PoE budget is exceeded. Whenever the budget is exceeded (e.g., by a device connected to port 1), the switch will start disconnecting PoE+ ports starting from the highest numbering, down to smaller ones until the sum of the loads does not exceed the available budget, keeping the operation of the remaining ports intact. Those that are disconnected will, in effect, be non-stop turned off and on.
- The function automatically recognizes and matches the type of network cable to be connected (straight or crossover), eliminating the need to use only one type of cabling, as well as Uplink ports, allowing to reduce unnecessary costs at the same time.
- The switch supports half-duplex and full-duplex modes for connections between devices. Instead, the flow control function allows you to control the flow of data thus avoiding port congestion in case one of the receiving devices is not able to receive enough of the received data.
