The Lanberg NC-0900-WIE model uses a single external, detachable antenna with a gain of 5 dBi, designed to operate in both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. The higher energy gain of the antenna translates into better range and a stronger signal, which is especially important when the computer is further away from the router or the signal has to pass through several walls.
