SFP1-ETH-RJ45-1000 Module –
Gigabit Ethernet Connection over Twisted-Pair Cable up to 100 m

The SFP1-ETH-RJ45-1000 module allows an SFP port to be used for data transmission over a standard network cable terminated with an RJ45 connector. It provides a simple way to add a copper interface to a switch, router, server, or other compatible device.

This solution increases hardware flexibility and makes it easier to connect infrastructure components that use different transmission media. Instead of replacing the device or using an additional media converter, an available SFP port can be used to connect standard Ethernet cabling.

Transmission Speeds up to 1000 Mb/s

The module provides data transmission speeds of up to 1 Gb/s. It can support 10/100/1000 Mb/s connections if the host device port uses an SGMII interface and supports negotiation of the required speeds.

This makes it possible to adapt the operating mode to the parameters of the connected device and the existing infrastructure. The module is suitable both for expanding a Gigabit Ethernet network and for connecting devices operating at lower speeds.

Standard RJ45 Connector

The compact RJ45 connector enables the use of commonly available network cables without the need for fiber-optic cabling. The module works with Category 5 or higher twisted-pair cables, making it easy to integrate into an existing Ethernet network.

The metal housing helps reduce the impact of electromagnetic interference, which is particularly important in racks containing multiple active network devices and power equipment.

Range up to 100 Metres

A transmission distance of up to 100 m makes the module suitable for typical connections within a building. It can be used to connect switches, routers, servers, patch panels, and end devices located in different rooms.

The supported range complies with standard structured cabling requirements, allowing the module to be easily integrated into existing infrastructure without changing the cable routing.

Simple Transmission Medium Conversion

The SFP1-ETH-RJ45-1000 makes it possible to quickly convert a compatible SFP port into a copper Ethernet interface. The module supports hot-swapping, making it easier to modify configurations and expand the network.

It is a practical solution wherever a device has an available SFP port and the connection needs to be established using twisted-pair cabling. Before use, make sure that the port supports copper SFP modules and the required transmission mode.
